Valentine's Day Unit

I promise I will post some chocolate unit pictures on here tomorrow after we are finished! We are having soo much fun with this study! Next week we will do a Valentine's Day unit. Here are our plans:

Monday ~
Read The Valentine Bears.
Paste our 3 heart verses for the week in a large heart. John 3:16, 1 John 4:9, I John 4:7-8
Write a love or valentine poem
Do the paper heart scavenger hunt (listed below)

Tuesday ~
Read the Valentine Cat
Study the Legend of St. Valentine and do a mini book
Make Valentines for church
Do some "candy heart math"

Wednesday ~
Read Cranberry Valentine
Make Birthday cards for Daddy
Work on Valentine synonyms worksheet

Thursday ~ Happy Heart Day!!
Wear red from head to toe
Talk about the heart and take a virtual tour of the heart online
Read the Magic school bus heart book
Bake a birthday cake for daddy

Friday~
Read Snow Valentine
Draw a human heart and all its parts
Quote our Valentine verses from memory
