Simple Gifts

'Tis the gift to be simple,'tis the gift to be free,'tis the gift to come down where you ought to be,And when we find ourselves in the place just right,It will be in the valley of love and delight.
Refrain:
When true simplicity is gained,To bow and to bend we shan't be ashamed. To turn, turn will be our delight,'Til by turning, turning we come round right

This is an old Shaker hymn that I have been thinking on the past few days. I long for the simplicity that cannot be attained by money or postion. A realtionship with Jesus is my desire and in having that, all of the worldly things that seem to beckon me to spend time and money on seem to fade away.
1 Timonthy 6:6-8 But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us therewith be content.

wow, I haven't been to your blog in a long time. Had a lot of reading to do. OF course, that's what I can do at 11:30pm at night at work with nothing to do. Wait, this is the first 10 minutes I've been alone since 6pm. Oh wait, here comes another one to throw in jail.
